The short
of it.

I'm Niharika — a Lead Product Manager with engineering chops. I have experience in building things tools keep billions of people safer online.

For the last eleven years I've been at the Wikimedia Foundation, shipping across editor tooling improvements, anti-abuse, AI, and platform safety. Working on keeping the world's largest open knowledge project safe and healthy has been an enriching and humbling experience.

I strongly believe that AI is one of the greatest technological revolutions of our time and I have been spending my weekends building pet projects for myself and people near me. I like to document my learnings as I go.

Long-tenure is rare in tech. I stayed because the mission is real, the impact is tremendous and the challenges we face are meaningful. Every mainstream LLM is trained on Wikipedia's corpus.

Leading product strategy for anti-abuse, user-safety and platform integrity across Wikipedia and sister projects. Cross-functional work spanning tech, legal, and community pillars. Most recently delivered on a major multi-year GDPR-compliance project.

Ramped up on a legacy codebase. Worked across the entire tech stack to make mission-critical improvements as part of a specialized strike team. Built 25+ features over the course of 4 years.
